Gardener in Port Charlotte, Florida

I grew up in my mom’s garden in CT, my first job was at the local retail nursery until beginning my 12yr career in zoo horticulture. I then worked for botanical gardens, landscape designers, commercial growers, neighbors, and a country club. I went to college for meteorology, then interior design prior to all of that. All my plant knowledge is self-taught. Since moving to Florida 8.5yrs ago I’ve taken many certificate programs to further my education; I am currently a student at the Florida School of Holistic Living studying Herbalism. •Always environmentally conscious, I garden barefoot, nature is our teacher. Gardening in SWFL is tricky and even I still kill my basil every year. I’m a single mom of 2, on a budget….i get it. Not everyone has a green thumb, enough time, etc. I can help you cultivate your garden into whatever will bring you more joy, pollinators, veggies, flowers, or anything else you’d like to connect with more in your outdoor space. I charge $40.00/hr for my unique expertise. Available M-F 9a-2p.
