My philosophy in terms design and maintenance is to create artful landscapes for humans and animals alike. My approach to garden design is both practical and playful, borrowing from artistic principles of color, pattern, composition and texture and also a horticultural understanding built on years of taking care of plants watching them thrive in various conditions. I focus on flora and fauna over hardscaping, a direction which tends to be more budget-friendly. My gardens reflect the unique personalities of their owners as much as they do my artistic vision—offering colour and variety, sound and scent throughout the seasons. Working with my small crew, we always try to keep ecological principles at the forefront of our maintenance practice. From electric tools, to ecological pest control, to sustainable soil amendment, we strive to tread lightly on the earth. For us, maintenance is more than cleaning, pruning, and deadheading; it's a chance to take stock of your garden's overall health and ensure it's headed in the right direction. I've worked for a number of top landscaping companies in Toronto and have studied horticulture at Humber College.
