Gardener Job in Los Angeles County, California

Looking for a gardener to maintain a natural landscape - flowering bushes, flower beds, no grass ground cover, who will spend the required amount of time to keep it maintained. I put in 20/hr as starting but if you are reliable and do good work, I will pay more and recommend to my neighbors who are also looking, as many of us shared the same gardener for years until he retired. I am open to a gardener who has been working for a service that is looking for weekend side work or branch out on their own but you must have your own tools and experience weeding, trimming/deadheading native plants and small trees (to keep them small), fixing drip hoses (if you cut them), as this is the bulk of the work. Mainly, I want the same person who will learn my yard and that I pay directly each time. On average, this yard needs a solid 4-5 hours a month. I am flexible on the schedule - 1 x per month or every 2 weeks. I am willing to pay well for good, focused work, as in not talking on your cell phone and working with one hand, as example. I don't want someone who spends barely an hour doing the bare minimum, leaving me to do too much of the work myself, which defeats the purpose of having a gardener.
