Landscape / Tree Work Labourers are responsible for the day-to-day duties of landscaping or tree work as directed by their Foreman or Crew Supervisor. Details: Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Prep/ Install sod, mulch and edging. Plant shrubs, and trees. Ability to push, pull, rake, shovel, carry or lift heavy weight. Ability to communicate with Foreman and other crew members. Ability to multi-task and work to meet tight deadlines. Good hand-eye coordination. Physical dexterity to handle prolonged standing, kneeling, or walking. Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to follow directions. Reliable, punctual, and a team player. Other general labour tasks as required or assigned. Be able to commit to season and show up to work each day. Summer students are welcome! Pay: Wage $18.00 - .../hour **Wage will be based upon experience** This is a full-time, seasonal position available Mar - Dec 2023 Requirements: Candidates MUST have a valid license and reliable vehicle to drive to the site/yard. CSA Approved Steel-toed boots. Must be willing to work 8 - 10 hour days in season ( Monday to Friday) Qualifications: No formal education is required; residential landscaping or construction labour - related experience is considered an asset. Ability to physically work hard during each shift and work outside in all kinds of weather conditions. Essential Skills: Take direction, work well with others. Good communication skills. Multi-tasking. Punctual and take initiative Assist with landscaping, construction, tree/shrub planting, grading, landscape, sod, mulching, brick edge, irrigation but not limited to.
