Help! Need to have current softscaping properly rejuvenated( lilacs, spirea,etc) while completing hardscaping

Need lilacs and spirea that I want to keep rejuvenated while hardscaping being done. Have ripped out most perennials front and back and there was a lot!!!! so that next yr all softscaping can be added which I will need help to achieve the easycare low maintenance yard of my dreams( yard was originally done as per a landscaper plan but was poorly done, required hrs and hrs of work to maintain. I need help to get to my dream!!!!!
