Gardener in Richmond, Virginia

I'm an
Hi, I'm Nicky! I'm local to Southside Richmond, have car & willing to travel. I am 26 years old, I once thought that computers were my passion until I fell in love with plants and horticulture. I specialize in native wildflowers, especially milkweeds and other pollinator favorites, as well as a wide array of edible fruits & veggies - cucurbits (melons, cucumbers, squash etc.), beans, okra, tomatoes, passionfruit, watermelons, you name it, especially our Virginia native fruiting trees, shrubs, and vines. I also grow unusual varieties of everyday veggies and things you probably haven't heard of, but taste delicious, from around the world. I have a good practical knowledge of organic and semi-organic horticulture, and I like finding ways to let mother nature be a help in the garden rather than a hinderance, and create sustainable gardens that will last for decades without the need for expensive and toxic chemicals. I offer services including providing starter plants, seed starting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, insect prevention, weed prevention & pulling, building trellises, composting, installing raised beds, insect netting etc., if you're looking for new and exciting things to do with your garden, if you want to expand your home-grown fruits & veggies to varieties from around the world, or just need help around the garden, give me a call! I start at $15/hr, depending on services needed and weather conditions. Thank you for your consideration.
