To me, the garden is a sanctuary of delight and contemplation. I grew up in Florida around myriad plant life — access to beautiful greenery and fresh air shaped my understanding of life. Understanding the timing of plants helped me to better understand the timings of life. After finishing high school, I pursued an arts education because I was encouraged by my family to follow my talents in art making. That arts education took me to some of the most beautiful places in the world — to some of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
