Gardener in Ottawa, Ontario

I am a very passionate, lifelong gardener looking for opportunities to connect with the community through my love of plants. I have 5 years of professional garden and landscape experience to offer, in addition to a long history of home gardening, in a wide range of horticultural fields including: -Care, selection, planting, and advice regarding annuals, perennials, shrubs, and trees -Planting, seeding, general seasonal maintenance, mulching, pruning, division of established plants -Indoor plants; selection, transplanting, pruning, fertilizing, placement and styling, etc. -Installation of new in-ground garden beds -Extensive knowledge of and experience with edible gardening (vegetables, fruits including berries and orchard crops, herbs, microgreens/greenhouse production, urban vegetable gardening, etc), with a focus on organic pest management and fertilization techniques -I specialize in the identification of, care, and cultivation of native Northeastern forest plants and medicinal herbs. In addition, I also hold a diploma of Horticulture from Algonquin College, and one in Food and Farming from Durham College. My availability is on a part time basis, any day of the week. I am flexible with regard to days and hours, but would prefer to keep my professional engagements to about 30 hours per week.
