Howdy Folks! We are Madeleine and Andrea your friendly neighborhood gardening girls. Our passions lie in the restoration of our natural habitats through the use of native plants. Through this process, we provide habitat to pollinators such as butterflies and bees, as well as promote water conservation, and keep your yard looking spectacular all year round. We are available to work individually or together with flexible schedules, 7 days a week. Together we have 2 years of experience (and even more individually) through City of Tampa's Green Team, an environmental stewardship program sponsored by the City and AmeriCorps. During our service we worked closely with the Parks and Recreation Department, specifically the Horticulture Team. Alongside this team we designed, planted, and maintained various city gardens, including 100% native pollinator gardens. While on Green Team we also became certified Florida-Friendly Landscapeing Professionals. Our gardening style is a mix between native Florida flowers/plants like Stokes' Aster, Tropical Sage, Starry Rosinweed, Pineland Heliotrope, Florida Violets, and native groud covers, as well as beautiful perennials/annuals like Roses, Marigolds, Celosias, Cosmos, Sunflowers and more! We have found that this creates the perfect environment for attracting all the wonderful pollinators that we know and love, who help us maintain a thriving planet. We are knowledgeable in pest management as well, in particular natural pest management. While it is so important to irradicate damaging/invasive pests, it is even more important to maintain the native/beneficial insects and pollinators. The best way is to plant to prevent the pests in the first place by using our knowledge of "right plant, right place" : how certain plants work together to stay happy and healthy. We have an affordable rate starting at $15 an hour per gardener. Hire us both for big yards/jobs or call us out to your home individually for smaller ones.
