Greetings! I am a former seasonal gardener for The Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium, Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens, and greens person for various television and movie productions. I am in the market to expand an independent career. I also work part time as an assistant and floral Designer for James Floral Shoppe. I have two decades of personal plant care experience, which now includes expertise in propagation, pest control and growing from seed. I also have an affinity and special talent for caring for rare and exotic plants. I also worked for television and film in New Orleans as a greensperson, both second unit and standby, which means on-set while filming occurs. “Greens” for Mayfair Witches, was a unique mix of utilizing my extensive plant knowledge to maintain our greenhouse on studio stages, knowing what types of plants are native to particular areas, implementing landscaping designs created by our crew boss, Dave Tureau, knowing my way around set and being nearby “video village,” where the director and assistant directors watch monitors to see what the camera sees. My personal plant collection includes well over 100 plants, some of which I grew from seed, or propagated via water and soil. Before working on set, I assisted in a few nurseries; Crazy Plant Bae and Delta Flora in New Orleans, LA. For both businesses, I repotted new inventory and maintained our greenhouses and gardens. My rates are affordable, starting at $20.0 per hour, and I'm dedicated to providing top-notch service to all my clients.
