Gardener in Colorado Springs, Colorado
I came to Colorado 3 years ago and fell in love with it! My first job was at Wild Gardens in Manitou Springs, there I had the privilege to work on some of the most beautiful gardens in the Springs! From a gardener's point of view I also had the interesting job of working on an indoor grow and a huge "organic" outdoor grow in Pueblo. Pretty exciting stuff for a grandma of seven. Also I was married for 30 years to an Oregon State Police Trooper and many summers when the kids were little I'd fix huge sandwiches with homemade bread for him to take up in the helicopter when they were hunting for the illegal grows, which at that time were all of them! These days I'm back to growing houseplants, strawberries and tomatoes. My references are my former husband and my daughter, Rita. Her beautiful kids are the reason I'm here. She and her husband bought the Dutch Bros coffee stands and opened a fourth and I came to babysit. I'm not licensed or bonded, but I've been fingerprinted a number of times, so I'm in the system. I was fingerprinted when I went in the Army in 1975, then when I worked at the Josephine County Jail in 1991. Recently I was fingerprinted here in Colorado when I was hired to work at a daycare. I think my life speaks for itself and the references!
