Gardener in Portland, Oregon

I'm an
Hello! I’m a recent graduate from the PSU Honors College. I earned a BS in Liberal Sciences (Urban Ecology) by studying the relationship between urban trees and air pollution in Portland, OR. I received my Permaculture and Whole Systems Design Certificate from the PSU Graduate School of Education. We offer a variety of ecological services in the Portland Metro area including landscaping, garden planning and consulting, and soil building. Our team leads are trained in permaculture and whole system design, and/or have a variety of unique qualifications and life experiences related to the field of agroecology. The benefits of our practices include: Less watering and less monetary input No chemical pesticides, insecticides, or fertilizers Higher density of foliage matter and arthropod populations Long-term soil health These agroecological techniques work by using a greater knowledge of ecology (the study of how organisms interact with their environment) to create a more complex and stable network of interactions in the area. These networks of interactions create a productive garden zone without needing the amount of human labor and chemical/water input usually needed while using other gardening and landscaping methods. I'm a passionate young person who is trying to get his foot in the door as a self-employed landscaper so that I can practice the techniques of organic, native, and regenerative landscaping and agriculture for my living.
