Gardener in Ocala, Florida

Hello there and thank you for your interest in me as a gardener. I received formal training in horticulture at Wave Hill Public Gardens in the Bronx, NY in 2022. As a pleasure garden, I learned about managing dynamic and layered gardens that exist for beauty and delighting the senses. I worked closely with the Horticulturists in the Herb Garden, Dry Garden, Flower Garden, and Palm House Conservatory. In 2023, I am finishing up my Environmental Horticulture certificate with the University of Florida. My summer will be spent working at the US National Arboretum as an intern in their Introductory and Friendship Gardens.* When it comes to a landscape, I want to work with it and not against it - management rather than maintenance is my goal. I believe in having plants wherever possible and interest at all times of the year. At this time, I am equipped to handle small-scale jobs. I am interested in working with you from reshaping and reviving an existing garden, to preparing and planting a new garden, to container design, pruning, weeding, and more. My personal passion-projects currently include a prairie garden for fall planting, a residential landscape design and management plan, managing a "weed garden", and an on-going native seed collection.
